3. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Tasko Pal As a final remark, I also place a ton of courier contracts, many with payments lower than 2% of collateral. I've never been disappointed by the service. I see no need for the proposal outlined in this thread. ...

4. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Deelicious We're definitely not a monopoly. There are several other courier companies in existence, plus many solo haulers. For those of you who are not aware: Red Frog doesn't actually make any money . All of the rewards...

5. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: rain9441 Red Frog is successful. I appreciate whatever Red Frog is doing to make them successful in the courier business. That's good. However, regarding the Public Courier Contracts, allowing the contract issuer to ...

7. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Adunh Slavy As a hauler, would you prefer doing a 10 jump trip for 2 million ISK and one contract, with a dead head to your next contract, or a 10 jump circuit that nets you 2 mil per run, with opportunity to pick up and de...

9. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Tasko Pal The graduate student you talked about, was looking for a PhD topic. Just because he apparently didn't find one here (which frankly, I'm surprised at), doesn't mean that a comparison between Eve's economy and REAL L...

10. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Lederstrumpf If rates would be too low, nobody would accept a courier contract. As people accept courier contracts, the rates obviously aren't too low in general. "I want to dig for gold" "But there is no gold in the groun...

11. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: NightvaultDespite your particularly vague, inexact, and imprecise recollections, one can draw parallels between various aspects of the New Eden economy and RL. Of course, the macroeconomy doesn't map completely: megacorps n...

12. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Tekota But imposing, or even heavily guiding, minimum rates for player to player services I disagree with strongly; the economic game in Eve is pretty much raw ruthless capitalism where ignorance, gullibility and poor resear...

13. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Nikolai Kondratiev It's the same problem than in RL. People will offer basic jobs with the lowest reward they can. And as long as people keep picking them, that will continue (and, unlike RL, no one is "forced" to compl...

14. Courier Contracts and Rates - in Market Discussions [original thread]
This is one area of EVE where it would be good if CCP stepped in and made a change. CCP is needed to help because EVE is too big to organize all couriers to persuade them to adhere to basic premises such as a minimum rate on public courier contrac...

15. An update on Level 5 Missions - in EVE Information Portal [original thread]
I will agree with the majority here. Doing Level 5 missions in low sec (PVE ship) does not make sense and it only a means to provide low and null sec PVPer's targets. Play smart,... stay out of low-null sec with a PVE ship. Taking a fleet with you...
